Titan wins in four games
The Remparts and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan played tonight for a fourth time in six days. The Titan leads the series 3-0.
For the first time in this series, the Remparts open the score. On the power play, Switzerland’s Philipp Kurashev beats goalie Dumont-Bouchard. The Titan replies quickly. Antoine Morand deflected Kuznetsov’s pass behind Dereck Baribeau. 1-1 after 20 minutes.
Only one goal is scored in the second twenty. The Latvian Rodrigo Abols deflects the long shot from defenceman Noah Dobson. It’s 2-1 Acadie-Bathurst after 40 minutes.
Then, in the third period, the Remparts played a good period and had many chances, but the Titan’s defense holds. The last two goals of the series are scored in an empty net (Maher and Christophe Boivin). Final score : Titan 4, Remparts 1.
The Titan wins in four games and reaches the second round for the first time since 2007.
A 20th season ended tonight for the Remparts and the organization would like to thank the thousands of supporters! This year, they have continued to encourage the team as they have since their return in 1997!
