This afternoon, center Jonathan Audy-Marchessault was named recipient of the Bud Light Cup, awarded each year to the Remparts player who has accumulated the most points overall in the four segments.

In his fourth season wearing the Remparts uniform, it is the first time that Audy-Marchessault receives this honour.  Throughout the four segments he accumulated 95 points, 45 more than teammate Alex Wall.  Joël Champagne, Ryan Bourque and Mirko Hoefflin tied for third place with 40 points.

Throughout the season, Jonathan Audy-Marchessault was named offensive player twice, while in the defense category, there were three recipients: Alex Wall (1st and 4th), Mikaël Tam, and Martin Lefebvre.  For the 2010-2011 season, Audy-Marchessault’s 39 goals and 52 assists for 91 points in 65 games permitted him to rank first among the team’s scorers.  Ten of his 39 goals were scored in power plays, and he scored 11 winning goals, leading all QMJHL players this season.

The results for the segments of the Bud Light Cup are determined according to the players selected as game stars.  Each time a player is selected among the three stars, he receives 5 points, regardless of whether he is selected 1st, 2nd, or third.
