Great performance by Baribeau

The Remparts have completed their 20th season since returning to the QMJHL in 1997 against the Sherbrooke Phoenix at the Videotron Centre.

In the first period, goaltender Dereck Baribeau made some good stops. His teammates will then open the score. Derek Gentile beats Fitzpatrick over his shoulder and scored his 22nd goal of the season. Then, a few minutes later, Philipp Kurashev beat the enemy’s defense and lodged the puck in the net, a 21st for Kurashev. It was 2-0 after 20 minutes.

The second period has a name: Dereck Baribeau. He stops the 18 pucks directed on him in this second twenty. The score is always 2-0.

In the third, the Phoenix continues to work in the offensive zone and score after 46 shots on Baribeau. Rookie Anderson MacDonald recovers a return to score his 29th goal of the season. The Remparts will hold out until the end. Final score: Remparts 2, Phoenix 1.

Dereck Baribeau finished the game with 47 saves. The Remparts have a 31st win this season.

The next game will be at the K.C Irving Regional Center in Bathurst. The day and time remain to be confirmed. It will be a series 4 of 7 between the Remparts and the Titan. You can already get tickets for the first two home games (3 and 4 of the series) presented here at the Videotron Centre.
